Role summary

This senior role is responsible for building, overseeing, and controlling the full range of contract creation, negotiation, and management activities. The position also provides expert direction for procurement across all levels of the organization and supports the end-to-end acquisition process for goods and services. The role is based in Dammam and reports to Executive Management.

Key responsibilities

  • Handle daily contract administration and oversee the complete procurement and contract lifecycle.
  • Prepare complex legally binding documents such as non-disclosure agreements, lease agreements, purchase orders, contracts, and subcontracts using standard and custom terms.
  • Support negotiations to secure terms that protect the company’s interests, reduce risk, and align with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Act as a procurement and contracting specialist by creating standards for agreements, contracts, policies, procedures, templates, tools, and systems.
  • Advise, train, and guide staff and managers on procurement and contract-related matters, including processes, rules, issues, and systems.
  • Own procurement activities and contribute to strategic sourcing, subcontracting, vendor records management, and the preparation of RFPs, specifications, terms of reference, evaluation criteria, and sole-source justifications.
  • Investigate unusual legal or contractual matters involving contracts, procurement, intellectual property, and other corporate or international issues while applying relevant best practices, statutes, and regulations.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams, external clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Perform additional duties assigned by executive management.
  • Follow company policies, operating procedures, and safety requirements while working respectfully and professionally with colleagues and the public.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering is required.
  • An advanced qualification such as an MBA or Law degree is preferred.
  • Minimum 18 years of experience in contracts and procurement or a closely related role.
  • Strong leadership and people management capability.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify contract inconsistencies.
  • Good knowledge of local and international procurement and contracting laws, regulations, and procedures.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and purchasing software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent negotiation ability.
  • Ability to understand basic legal concepts and explain legal language clearly.
