Sr. Engineer Plant & Mach

Role overview

This position is for a senior engineer responsible for plant and machinery operations at the site in Jamnagar, Gujarat. The role centers on keeping equipment running safely, reliably, and on schedule while coordinating closely with users and O&M teams.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out equipment inspection and commissioning based on site needs.
• Oversee operation and maintenance of the equipment fleet.
• Plan and execute preventive, periodic, scheduled, and breakdown repairs.
• Build the maintenance activity list and ensure all tasks are completed within the planned timeline.
• Handle inventory planning and work to keep equipment availability at the highest possible level.
• Train O&M agency crews and equipment users on technical aspects.
• Work with users to ensure the equipment operates smoothly as per their needs.
• Coordinate issue resolution for operation- and maintenance-related concerns.
• Follow all safety procedures during plant and machinery operations.
• Prepare, maintain, and implement maintenance checklists for all P&M equipment.
• Perform any other assigned duties as required.

Education

A B.E. or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is required.

Experience

Candidates should have more than 6 years of experience for B.E. holders or more than 9 years for diploma engineers in operations and maintenance of construction equipment. Prior experience in large construction or contracting organizations is preferred, especially in the oil & gas, heavy industry, or basic industry sectors.
