Spotter General Labor

Role overview

This position supports skilled trades on active job sites by helping keep work areas safe, organized, and ready for operations. The role can be performed independently and does not require constant supervision.

Key duties

• Watch active work areas and help make sure safety procedures are being followed.
• Spot and relay possible dangers such as overhead hazards and items blocking the ground.
• Remove obstructions when possible or report them so lifts and equipment can operate safely.
• Act as a ground guide for scissor lifts and other moving machinery.
• Keep a clear line of sight for equipment and truck operators during site work.
• Carry out general labor tasks, including cleanup and assistance with trade-related work.
• Support the Senior Superintendent or Project Manager with assigned tasks.
• Be available for overtime or weekend work when the project requires it.

Working conditions and physical demands

• Work may take place in environments with dirt, dust, grease, oil, vibration, and harsh weather.
• You must be able to reach all parts of the property, buildings, structures, elevated areas, and confined spaces safely.
• You should be able to use required PPE properly and lift up to 50 pounds.
• You must be able to operate the tools and equipment involved in the job safely.
• The job requires the ability to stand for long periods.
