About the Location

The role is based at the upcoming Four Seasons Resort and Residences Red Sea, located on Shura Island along Saudi Arabia’s western coastline. The broader Red Sea destination spans 200 km of coastline and includes natural islands and lagoons between Umluj and Al Wajh. The development will feature a yacht marina, leisure and lifestyle amenities, retail, an 18-hole golf course, and more.

The destination is being developed with sustainability at its core, supported by renewable energy and environmental planning designed to limit over-tourism and reduce impact. The resort itself is expected to include around 149 rooms and suites with uninterrupted sea views, six dining and lounge venues, meeting and events areas, a marine discovery centre, Kids for All Seasons facilities, a spa with hammam, tennis courts, three outdoor pools with cabanas, and two separate beaches for families and adults.

About the Role

As Shift Engineer, you will help keep the resort’s engineering systems running reliably during your assigned shift. Your focus will be on maintaining smooth operations across guest rooms, back-of-house areas, and public spaces while supporting the premium service standards expected in a luxury hospitality environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out regular inspections and preventive upkeep for electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
• Handle engineering service requests from guest areas and operations promptly during your shift.
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs to reduce equipment downtime.
• Follow Four Seasons safety and sanitation standards, along with applicable local requirements.
• Work with other departments to deliver technical assistance when required.
• Support energy efficiency measures and sustainability initiatives across the property.
• Escalate serious incidents and major technical concerns to the Engineering Supervisor or leadership team.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a comparable engineering or maintenance position in a luxury hotel or resort.
• Practical knowledge of electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing, and general building maintenance.
• Comfort using maintenance systems or digital tools for reporting and tracking work.
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently across assigned shifts.
• Experience in pre-opening environments or large-scale properties will be considered an advantage.
• Strong English communication skills are essential.
• Candidates must be eligible to work in Saudi Arabia.

Schedule & Hours

This is a full-time position with rotating shift coverage, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
