Role Overview
This senior coordinator role supports the talent acquisition team across the full hiring workflow, including interview coordination, candidate onboarding, and activities that follow offer acceptance. The position is responsible for helping the recruitment process run smoothly through organized administrative support and careful handling of sensitive information. Work is carried out with limited supervision and requires a good amount of independent judgment.
Work Location and Training
The job is based in Columbus, Ohio and is an on-site position. Training will be conducted remotely for the first month only, starting the week of August 10.
Key Duties
You will work alongside Talent Acquisition Specialists to support a compliant and efficient staffing process while helping create a positive experience for candidates.
The role involves arranging interviews with candidates, hiring managers, and interview panels, as well as booking travel for candidates when needed and handling reimbursement requests.
You will guide candidates through the hiring steps by making sure applications, new-hire forms, and I-9 documentation are completed correctly and on time.
Another part of the role is reviewing process data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance. You may also conduct new-hire orientation for locations where applicable.
In addition, you will schedule and monitor drug screenings and physical exams, track background check progress, manage local files such as historical I-9 originals and job or requisition records, and assist with employment testing when required.
Qualifications
A high school diploma or GED is required. An associate degree in a related field is preferred.
The position calls for at least six years of relevant experience. This experience should reflect exposure to a variety of business situations and demonstrate confidentiality, maturity, discretion, tact, sound judgment, and initiative. Strong knowledge of recruiting policies, procedures, and the complete end-to-end hiring cycle is also needed.
Additional Requirements
The ideal candidate should be highly service-oriented, able to create a welcoming environment for candidates, and comfortable working in a collaborative setting. Strong verbal and written communication skills are important, along with solid technology skills, including familiarity with ATS platforms and Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Strong organization, prioritization, and multitasking ability are essential in a fast-moving environment.
