Role Overview

The Senior Media Editor will lead the creation, refinement, translation, and final quality review of content used across the organization’s internal and external communication channels. This position plays a central role in keeping all material linguistically precise, editorially consistent, and fully aligned with the organization’s brand identity, preferred tone, and messaging standards.

Working as an important editorial point of contact within the PR & Communications Department, the role strengthens the clarity, credibility, and overall impact of communication outputs such as press releases, digital content, campaign material, media collateral, and corporate publications.

Core Responsibilities

  • Prepare, translate, edit, and proofread communication assets including press releases, speeches, media statements, newsletters, website copy, campaign content, executive messages, scripts, and internal communication pieces.
  • Maintain consistency in editorial style, readability, and adherence to approved tone of voice, brand rules, messaging structure, and technical terminology.
  • Improve the clarity and effectiveness of written content without changing the original meaning or factual accuracy.
  • Carry out the final language and editorial review of all outgoing materials before they are approved and released.
  • Check grammar, spelling, tone, layout, and industry-specific terminology in both Arabic and English.

  • Coordinate with external content, translation, or media agencies to review drafts, share feedback, and provide final linguistic approval when needed.
  • Support strategic initiatives, campaigns, official announcements, and other ad hoc communication needs through editorial and content assistance.
  • Advise PR & Communications leadership on editorial matters that help preserve message consistency and reputational integrity.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate should hold a bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Media, English, Translation, or a closely related discipline.

Professional experience of 3 to 5 years in content writing, editing, translation, or corporate communications is required.

Applicants should have hands-on experience creating or reviewing press releases, speeches, digital materials, internal communications, and corporate publications.

Experience in a corporate, governmental, or regulated setting will be considered an added advantage.

Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and translation abilities in both Arabic and English are essential.

The role also requires a solid grasp of brand voice, editorial governance, and message consistency, along with excellent attention to detail and quality control skills.
