Role overview
This position is designed for an experienced IT administrator who is ready to take on broader responsibility while working with a variety of technologies and customer setups. The role blends hands-on administration, client advisory work, project delivery, and team leadership.
You will assist customers with infrastructure topics, contribute to IT projects, and help manage a team of technicians. The role suits someone who enjoys technical problem-solving, direct customer interaction, and helping businesses modernize their IT environments.
Key duties
- Provide support for customer IT environments both remotely and in person
- Coordinate and guide a team of technicians
- Oversee team workflows and operational tasks
- Act as a technical point of contact for client projects
- Advise customers on infrastructure upgrades and suitable solutions
- Design, implement, and further develop infrastructure projects
- Administer Microsoft-based and Linux-based environments
- Work with infrastructure, networking, backup, and monitoring tools
What the role requires
- A completed IT apprenticeship, technical degree, or an equivalent qualification
- At least 3 years of experience in IT administration or infrastructure work
- Solid understanding of IT infrastructure and application environments
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Azure, networking, backup systems, and monitoring solutions
- Initial leadership exposure is an advantage
- Strong communication and presentation abilities
- A cooperative, team-focused working style
- German language skills at B2 level and English at C1 level
