Role overview
This is a permanent Senior HR Coordinator position with a confidential client in the professional services sector. The role supports People & Culture operations across multiple office locations and is designed for someone who can keep day-to-day HR processes running smoothly while protecting confidentiality and delivering a strong employee experience.
The position is remote, with preference for candidates working in EST or CST time zones, though other time zones may be considered. The posted base salary range is $65,000 to $73,000.
Core HR operations
- Keep employee data accurate and up to date in HR systems and records.
- Handle status updates such as new hires, transfers, promotions, and separations.
- Support employment verification requests, reporting needs, and HR data administration.
- Maintain HR forms, policies, documents, and standard operating procedures.
- Help ensure company practices align with internal policies and applicable employment laws.
Benefits and leave administration
- Coordinate benefits enrollment, changes tied to qualifying life events, and benefit terminations.
- Support leave programs, including FMLA, state leave programs, ADA accommodations, and short- and long-term disability claims.
- Prepare, send, and monitor disability paperwork with insurers and third-party administrators.
- Respond to employee questions about benefits and leave while preserving confidentiality.
Employee experience and HR support
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding so transitions feel organized and seamless.
- Support performance management activities and employee engagement efforts.
- Work with managers and employees to provide HR guidance and administrative assistance.
- Contribute to efforts that promote a collaborative, inclusive, and positive workplace culture.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate has 2 to 4 years of HR experience and has supported multiple parts of the employee lifecycle. A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline is preferred.
Applicants should be comfortable using HRIS tools and Microsoft Office, and should bring strong organization, communication, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail. The role also requires the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy environment while handling sensitive information with discretion.
Preferred background
Additional strength in employment law knowledge, benefits administration, leave management, problem-solving, customer service, and cross-functional collaboration will be an advantage. The role favors someone who can work independently while also partnering effectively with other teams.
