About the Company
Beast Industries is a media and entertainment business built by Jimmy Donaldson, widely known as MrBeast. The company has grown well beyond its YouTube roots and now operates across digital media, philanthropy, consumer products, and other innovative ventures. Its focus is on creating entertaining content, driving meaningful impact, and using digital media to inform, inspire, and deliver memorable experiences at a global scale.
The Opportunity
This role sits at the center of an AI-led rebuild for a company with an audience of more than 100 million people. Because this is a ground-up build without legacy systems holding things back, the work you do will directly influence the analytical foundation of the business. The goal is to transform data into decisions that shape growth, product direction, and business strategy.
What You Will Do
- Take ownership of data science projects from the initial problem statement through launch and performance tracking.
- Develop, validate, and keep statistical and machine learning models current and reliable.
- Work with stakeholders to translate business goals into analytical methods and measurable success criteria.
- Use experiments, hypothesis testing, and causal methods to support important business decisions.
- Present technical results and business insights in a way that resonates with both technical teams and non-technical partners.
- Create reusable analytics assets, scalable frameworks, and strong data-quality practices.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to productionize models and mentor junior data science talent.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate already uses AI tools in their everyday workflow to move quickly from a question to an insight and then to a shipped solution. You should have around 6 or more years of experience in data science or advanced analytics, with strong hands-on ability in statistical modeling, experimentation, machine learning, SQL, and either Python or R. Success in this role depends on being able to influence real business outcomes, not just model scores, and on communicating clearly, challenging assumptions with evidence, and maintaining rigor and reproducibility.
Additional Qualifications
A master’s degree or PhD in a quantitative discipline is a plus. Extra value will be given to candidates who have deployed machine learning models into production, worked with cloud-based analytics or ML platforms, or mentored data scientists and led cross-functional projects.
Work Arrangement
The role is based primarily in the Bay Area, specifically San Francisco or the Peninsula, with NYC listed as a secondary location. The setup is hybrid, with an expectation of two in-office days each week.
Benefits and Perks
- Equity package designed for a foundational hire.
- Competitive compensation.
- Medical coverage through Blue Cross Blue Shield, along with dental and vision insurance and company-paid life insurance.
- Company contributions toward Health Savings Accounts.
- 401(k) plan with safe harbor company matching.
- Flexible vacation policy plus paid company holidays.
- Technology provided by the company.
- Relocation support where eligible, including travel and company-paid housing for the first 90 days.
