Role overview
We are looking for an experienced Senior Architectural Technologist to join an Irish design team working across residential, large-scale commercial, education, life sciences, and manufacturing projects. The role is suited to a technically strong professional who can help deliver innovative architectural solutions and contribute to the continued growth of the practice.
In this position, you will take ownership of the technical delivery of architectural projects, working closely with architects, engineers, and other specialists to turn design concepts into well-resolved, buildable outcomes. The role offers the chance to step into a leadership position while contributing to high-quality project delivery.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee several architectural projects at once, keeping work aligned with agreed schedules, budgets, and quality expectations from early concept stage through to completion.
- Apply advanced technical expertise to produce detailed drawings, specifications, and construction documentation.
- Guide, support, and mentor junior technologists and other support staff to help maintain an effective team environment.
- Work in coordination with architects, engineers, and other project stakeholders to ensure technical requirements are fully integrated into the design.
- Review design documentation carefully to check for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable building regulations and codes.
- Liaise with clients to interpret their requirements, present design proposals, and build positive long-term working relationships.
- Keep up to date with new industry practices, materials, and technologies so design processes and outputs continue to improve.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s qualification in Architectural Technology, Architecture, or a closely related discipline.
- At least 4 years of experience in architectural technology, including experience handling complex projects.
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, and similar design tools.
- Solid understanding of building regulations, construction methods, and technical standards.
- Well-developed project management, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
- High attention to detail and a consistent focus on producing quality work.
- Professional certification or licensure as an Architectural Technologist is an advantage.
