Role overview
This contract opportunity is for a Senior AI Engineer to support an enterprise AI implementation program for a client in Qatar. The work is remote, with occasional travel to Qatar if the project requires it, and the ideal candidate should be ready to begin immediately.
Core technical scope
The role centers on delivering production-ready AI solutions on Google Cloud Platform, with a focus on the Vertex AI and Gemini enterprise stack. The engineer will be expected to contribute directly to AI use cases that move from prototype to live deployment.
Key responsibilities
- Design and deliver enterprise-grade AI solutions on Google Cloud Platform.
- Build and deploy retrieval-augmented generation systems.
- Create and support multi-agent AI workflows and applications.
- Develop solutions that use vector databases, embeddings, prompt engineering, and orchestration frameworks.
- Apply strong Python and cloud engineering practices throughout implementation.
- Work on production deployments and help ensure the solutions are ready for real-world use.
Required background
- Hands-on expertise with Vertex AI and the Gemini Enterprise AI platform.
- Proven delivery of at least 2 to 3 AI use cases into production using the Google AI stack.
- Solid experience in Python development and cloud-based engineering.
- Practical knowledge of vector databases, embeddings, prompt design, and AI orchestration tools.
- Strong English communication ability.
Preferred profile
- Arabic language capability.
- Experience working with enterprise customers.
- Prior exposure to projects in the Middle East region.
Working arrangement
This is a remote contract position. The selected professional must be available to travel to Qatar when needed and should be prepared for an immediate start. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
