Role Overview

This position is focused on expanding business, increasing market reach, and driving revenue growth across French-speaking markets in West and Central Africa. The role centres on promoting renewable energy offerings such as solar power systems, hybrid solutions, and photovoltaic technologies to commercial, industrial, and public-sector customers.

The organisation is looking for a French-speaking sales professional with solid sector knowledge, experience in regional markets, and a consistent history of achieving or surpassing sales goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Find, pursue, and close new business opportunities across Francophone Africa.
  • Handle the entire sales process, from lead generation through to contract closure and after-sales follow-up.
  • Carry out market segmentation, customer profiling, and territory planning to support growth strategy.
  • Prepare and deliver convincing sales presentations, product demonstrations, and technical-commercial pitches.
  • Develop and maintain strong long-term relationships with major accounts, distributors, EPC partners, government bodies, and corporate buyers.
  • Advise clients on product selection, system design options, and ways to improve energy cost efficiency.
  • Work to ensure strong customer satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
  • Track new opportunities, competitor actions, and industry developments across the region.
  • Submit weekly and monthly sales updates, forecasts, pipeline reports, and market intelligence to the Country Manager.
  • Recommend approaches for market entry, pricing, channel expansion, and product positioning.
  • Coordinate with engineering, logistics, customer service, and finance teams to keep orders moving smoothly.
  • Support marketing in organising product promotions, exhibitions, and digital campaigns for Francophone markets.
  • Engage with government authorities, regulators, and energy agencies when needed.
  • Carry out other duties assigned by the Ghana Country Manager or senior management.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Renewable Energy, Marketing, or a related discipline is required.
  • Applicants should have 3 to 5 years of sales experience, ideally in renewable energy, power solutions, or technical B2B sectors.
  • Fluency in both French and English, spoken and written, is essential.
  • Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets in multi-country environments is needed.
  • A strong professional network in Francophone West and Central African markets is an advantage.
  • Good knowledge of solar PV systems, hybrid solutions, inverters, batteries, and energy-efficiency products is expected.
  • Strong skills in negotiation, presentations, and relationship management are required.
  • The candidate should be self-driven, professional, and culturally aware.
  • Frequent travel across Francophone Africa must be possible.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM platforms is necessary.
