Position Summary
The Sales Associate is expected to act as a strong ambassador for the brand, drive in-store sales, and support a high-quality retail experience through excellent customer interaction. The role also includes day-to-day store operations, maintenance, and visual presentation work as directed by the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager.
Customer Service
- Welcome shoppers warmly and help them choose products that best fit their needs.
- Convert casual visitors into purchasers through attentive service and effective selling.
- Encourage customers to enroll in the Club Apparel Loyalty Program to support repeat business.
- Deliver service that follows the company’s selling approach: GUEST — Greet, Understand, Explain, Sell, Thank.
- Stay current on the group’s brands so you can recommend suitable items confidently.
Presentation, Grooming, and Working Style
- Maintain a neat, polished, and professional appearance at all times.
- Keep product knowledge up to date and help reduce stock loss through careful handling.
- Be open to longer working hours during sale events and busy periods.
Merchandise and Store Operations
- Arrange stock neatly and display merchandise in a way that attracts customer attention while following standard layout requirements.
- Follow visual merchandising standards and keep clearance-stock rules in place.
- Track incoming and outgoing inventory and keep accurate records.
- Operate the POS and billing counter smoothly and efficiently.
- Count cash at the start and end of shifts and ensure the till balances correctly.
- Handle receipts, refunds, and change accurately for customers.
- Process payments through cash, cards, vouchers, and automatic debits.
- Remain alert to store security concerns and follow all loss-prevention measures.
- Work flexible shifts and overtime whenever the business requires it.
- Follow SOPs and loss prevention policies without exception.
- Keep sales figures confidential and do not share them outside the company.
