Retail Window Cleaner

Role overview

This position is for a retail window cleaner based in Cardiff, Wales, working for NSS Group within its cleaning division. The work is scheduled as daytime shifts from 5:00 am to 1:00 pm, Monday to Friday, totaling 40 hours per week. What you will do

• Carry out low-level window cleaning at a range of sites in your region using both reach-and-wash equipment and traditional cleaning tools.
• Work from a route plan arranged around the postcode where you live.
• Complete around 15 to 20 jobs each day.
• Travel between locations as part of the job; travel time is paid.
• Work mainly alone on solo rounds and maintain safe lone-working practices.
• Clean windows at customer sites such as coffee shops, banks, clothing stores, and convenience outlets.
• Be prepared to work weekends on some occasions if needed.
• Follow NSS risk assessments and method statements at all times.

Working pattern and conditions

Standard working hours are 5:00 am to 1:00 pm. The role is based on a Monday-to-Friday schedule, though occasional weekend work may be required. This is a fully onsite job involving travel across multiple building locations within your area.

Pay and benefits

You will earn £12.71 per hour, with overtime paid at £13.96 per hour. The role also includes a fully equipped vehicle with a fuel card, company uniform, PPE, a mobile phone, and all necessary equipment. Overtime offers additional earning potential.

Requirements

• A full driving licence with no more than 6 points
• A strong work ethic and a positive, can-do approach
• Clear communication skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
• Comfort using IT tools and a smartphone
• Eligibility to work in the UK
• Willingness to undergo DBS checks
