Role overview
This position supports store performance by making sure inventory is managed smoothly and that the right products are available at the right time. The role focuses on improving customer service and sustaining sales through strong control of stock levels, replenishment planning, and product flow.
Reporting to the Store Director, the Retail Store Planner acts as a coordination point between the store team, logistics functions, and retail merchandising/planning teams. The role also involves tracking key performance indicators tied to stock and replenishment activity.
Core responsibilities
- Own stock quality and manage stock month coverage for the store.
- Monitor stock quality and sales performance by identifying top-selling items across SKUs, models, categories, and métiers, then applying relevant KPIs such as MOS and sell-through.
- Hold weekly discussions with the in-store Sales Floor Manager to align on the merchandise mix available in store.
- Carry out the product strategy agreed with the Store team and Retail Merchandising.
- Support the sales team by highlighting slow-moving items and encouraging their promotion.
- Watch for shortages or potential shortages in advance and suggest alternatives when needed.
- Set, track, and improve stock coverage to support sales targets while following subsidiary retail merchandising guidelines.
- Use KPIs such as MOS, sell-through, and stock ageing, and ensure product rotation from the remote warehouse.
- Share weekly KPI updates and stock strategy with the Store Manager.
- Track storage capacity to avoid overcrowding in the stockroom and support the store’s sales approach across available back-of-house areas and métiers.
- Help structure front, back, and remote stockrooms according to the product offer strategy defined by the Floor Manager.
- When relevant, implement minimum and maximum settings in CEGID/COCKPIT with in-store floor managers for the remote stockroom, based on product mix, sales plans, and storage limits.
- Adjust product call planning for peak periods, seasonal demand, store events, product launches, and phase-out activity in coordination with Merchandising.
- Follow up with the LDC on product calls and compare replenishment plans against actual deliveries, maintaining clear communication on priorities and needs.
- Work closely with store management to help achieve KPI targets.
- Coordinate with local Logistics and Operations teams.
- Partner with RM teams to flag shortages and request stock rebalancing when necessary.

- Healthy stock levels maintained across all métiers in the store.
- Effective stock rotation that drives stronger sell-through.
- Delivery of monthly and annual sales budget targets.
- Improved product knowledge across the store team.
- Strong working relationships with store and corporate stakeholders.

Profile
The ideal candidate has at least two years of experience in retail back-office operations or planning/supply chain work. A solid grasp of core supply chain principles and forecasting tools is important, along with strong analytical ability and a business-and-service mindset.
This role also calls for excellent communication and interpersonal skills, leadership, the ability to work effectively with sales teams, and confidence in liaising with corporate teams. The person should be highly organized, disciplined, dependable, and proactive in suggesting improvements and supporting colleagues.
Advanced Excel ability is required, including Pivot Tables and XLOOKUP, along with good working knowledge of Word and PowerPoint.
