Role overview

This is a contract opportunity for a Retail Operations Manager working remotely from Canada. The role focuses on applying retail expertise to support merchandising, inventory control, e-commerce execution, and broader operational decision-making. The expected commitment is 10 to 40 hours per week, with compensation set at $40 to $65 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Offer specialist guidance on retail operations, with emphasis on merchandising, stock management, and online retail strategy.
• Create and review demand forecasting approaches that help maintain healthier inventory levels and limit excess stock.
• Help shape and improve markdown planning and competitive pricing frameworks.
• Assess omnichannel sales approaches and identify improvements that can strengthen the customer journey and support revenue growth.
• Work alongside retail subject matter experts to produce accurate, high-value data used in AI training workflows.
• Provide polished written and spoken feedback on retail process materials and training examples.

Requirements

• Proven background in retail management, merchandising, inventory, or e-commerce leadership positions.
• Solid working knowledge of demand forecasting, markdown planning, and retail pricing strategy.
• Strong understanding of omnichannel and e-commerce operations, supported by data-led judgment.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to interpret complex retail situations and turn findings into practical recommendations.
