Retail Key Holder

Role overview

BevMo! by Gopuff is hiring a Retail Key Holder for its store operations team in Lodi, California. This role supports day-to-day store execution by opening and closing the location, stepping in when management is unavailable, helping during busy periods, and coaching newer team members. The position also plays an important part in delivering strong customer service and supporting sales growth.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome customers, build rapport, and explain products and services in a helpful, professional way.
• Arrive early to prepare the store for opening and stay after hours to complete closing duties.
• Support operations during rush periods and help onboard and guide new team members.
• Use product knowledge to suggest items and make relevant recommendations.
• Help manage inventory by replenishing stock, counting merchandise, and spotting mismatches.
• Handle cash transactions carefully, including till opening and closing, cash counts, and deposit preparation.
• Work with scanners, registers, and other store electronics.
• Follow age-verification rules and related store policies.
• Check that pricing and item quantities are accurate and issue receipts to customers.
• Process refunds and exchanges as needed.
• Watch the sales floor for theft risk, support loss prevention, and follow security procedures such as bag checks.
• Keep the store clean and help maintain standards across the sales floor, stockroom, lockers, and bathrooms.
• Train new hires on procedures, product knowledge, and expected customer service standards.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of leadership experience in retail, grocery, military, restaurant, or a similar setting.
• Flexibility to work varied schedules, including peak hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Comfort with basic math and accurate cash handling.
• A collaborative, team-first attitude.
• Ability to lift up to 49 pounds.
• High school diploma or an equivalent credential.

Compensation

The stated pay for Lodi, CA is USD 17.65 per hour. Final starting pay may depend on skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions.
