Role overview
Monash University is seeking a Research Officer to join the Transfusion Research Unit within the School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine. Based at 509 St Kilda Road in Melbourne, this is a full-time appointment on a 12-month fixed-term basis.
The position offers remuneration of $100,155 to $108,106 per annum at HEW Level 06, plus 17% employer superannuation.
What this role involves
You will support the delivery of clinical registry projects by providing high-quality research and administrative assistance. The role is focused on operational delivery and does not include supervisory or financial authority.
Working to the Registry Project Manager and Clinical Registries Lead, you will coordinate day-to-day project activity, arrange meetings, prepare reports for stakeholders and funding bodies, manage ethics and governance submissions, maintain close communication with participating hospitals, and respond to a range of stakeholder enquiries.
You will also be expected to uphold research standards, follow study protocols, and ensure compliance with registry governance and regulatory requirements while staying informed about relevant developments in the field.
Who will do well in this position
The university is looking for someone with strong organisational capability, the ability to manage multiple priorities, excellent communication skills, and a strong focus on compliance and accuracy. A degree in a relevant discipline with post-degree relevant experience is preferred, or an equivalent mix of education, training, and practical experience.
