Palmerston Manor Lifecare is looking for a Registered Nurse to join the team in Palmerston North and contribute to high-quality resident care in a supportive, compassionate setting. The care home has 48 beds and is part of Heritage Lifecare, a large and rapidly expanding aged care organisation in New Zealand.

Key duties

In this role, you will support residents by combining clinical knowledge with a kind and patient approach. You will help maintain a warm environment where residents feel valued and well cared for.

Additional information

• This is a permanent part-time role, with 32 hours per week or fewer.

Role responsibilities

• Guide and support a team of caregivers to deliver quality resident care.
• Create, update, and track care plans.
• Perform clinical assessments as required.
• Build strong, respectful relationships with residents, families, and GPs.
• Assist the Clinical Services and Care Home Managers with daily operations and care delivery.

Experience and skills

The right person will bring prior registered nursing experience, either from New Zealand or overseas, along with a current APC. Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are important, as is a team-focused attitude.

Successful candidates should genuinely enjoy helping others, bring empathy and positivity to the role, and be committed to continuous improvement. A sound understanding of health and safety procedures is also expected.
