Regional Manager - WA

Role overview

An established industrial business is looking for a senior operations leader to oversee its Western Australia region. This position was created because of an internal promotion and carries full responsibility for regional operations, profitability, and service performance across a multi-site branch network.

Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will work closely with the Sales function to make sure the business can meet demand, run efficiently, and support future growth. The role is suited to someone who enjoys working in commercial, high-pressure environments and is driven by accountability, team leadership, and measurable outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and improve regional operations end to end, with a focus on dependable service, strong safety standards, and commercial results.
• Take ownership of regional financial performance, including EBIT, budgeting, cost management, and disciplined financial control.
• Work in close partnership with Sales so operational capacity matches demand and growth objectives.
• Shape inventory planning, stock efficiency, and asset use to strengthen working capital performance.
• Recruit, coach, and lead strong leadership teams across several sites, building accountability and performance.
• Promote a proactive safety and compliance culture, with solid risk management across the region.
• Track customer experience, manage escalations, and support stronger retention outcomes.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts that raise efficiency and overall performance.
• Support regional and enterprise-level strategy execution where required.

About you

You are a commercially aware leader who is focused on results and capable of influencing delivery across a broad operational area. You are comfortable turning strategy into action and working at pace with discipline.

• Background in regional, multi-site, or operational leadership roles.
• Strong commercial judgement, including direct experience with P&L ownership.
• Ability to lead other leaders and develop high-performing teams.
• Experience in industrial, distribution, manufacturing, mining, or similar environments.
• Proven ability to convert strategy into practical execution.
• Good stakeholder management skills, with experience working across Operations, Sales, and senior leadership.
• Practical, hands-on leadership style with a strong focus on outcomes.
• Clear commitment to safety, compliance, and operational excellence.

Preferred qualifications and additional experience

• A qualification in Business, Commerce, Engineering, Trade, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Formal management or leadership training would be an advantage.
• Experience using ERP platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 is desirable.
• Exposure to change management, transformation, or continuous improvement programs is beneficial.
• Capability in data-driven decision-making and performance improvement is highly valued.
