Role overview

This position is part of Qatar Airways’ talent acquisition function in Doha. The role is focused on finding strong candidates quickly and efficiently for designated business areas, using smart search and selection methods. Key responsibilities

  • Understand hiring needs and workforce objectives for the assigned HIA departments, then turn that knowledge into practical recruitment plans that address attraction, sourcing, and candidate identification challenges in a cost-effective way.
  • Execute recruitment plans and respond to unexpected manpower demands, including managing external recruitment agencies and related agreements when support is needed.
  • Lead hiring campaigns for HIA roles inside and outside Qatar, including multi-opening initiatives, and manage additional recruitment assignments or special projects to meet agreed targets.
  • Search candidate databases, prepare well-written print and online job advertisements when required, and use available technology and experience to build strong shortlists for hiring managers.
  • Apply suitable evaluation methods and benchmarking approaches for roles up to management level, and source talent for roles above management level through senior management level when required.
  • Review job descriptions and create competency-based interview questions for phone screens, recorded interviews, and face-to-face interviews.
  • Coordinate with line managers on interview requirements and support the organization of professional interviews and assessment centres.
  • Carry out reference checks when needed and negotiate employment offers with selected candidates.
  • Provide advice and practical support to line managers by sharing recruitment expertise and promoting best-practice hiring methods.
  • Complete any other department-related duties assigned by the Head of Department.

Experience and qualifications

  • Applicants should have either a high school qualification, vocational qualification, diploma, or an equivalent credential, with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
