Role overview
The Recruiter I role is focused on meeting staffing needs by finding, attracting, assessing, and bringing in suitable talent so the business can respond quickly to changing hiring demands. The position works with different clients to understand their hiring requirements and evaluate candidates for open roles.
Core responsibilities
- Support the setup and day-to-day running of recruitment programs.
- Review, sort, and maintain incoming applications, along with background and reference verification records.
- Carry out early-stage candidate assessments, including phone screens and in-person interviews where needed.
- Help advise hiring managers on candidate selection and work with relevant stakeholders to extend compensation offers and support negotiation discussions.
- Use a broad mix of sourcing channels such as online platforms, community groups, print outlets, informal and formal networks, colleges, and trade bodies to identify strong candidates.
- Keep recruitment records and reports accurate and well organized across ATS and HRIS systems.
- Apply consistent standards to all applicants and ensure hiring activity follows applicable local laws and regulations.
- Build a solid understanding of role requirements, including experience, technical skills, and behavioral traits needed for success.
- Represent the company positively to candidates and external service providers, while maintaining high ethical standards throughout the hiring process.
