Role overview
Road & Rail Services is hiring a Railcar Inspector / Prep Technician in Greer, SC. This is a full-time, on-site position with an early start time of 5:30 AM and pay beginning at $18.50 per hour. The work is hands-on, outdoors, and physically active in a fast-moving industrial setting.
What the job involves
In this role, you will help prepare railcars so they can safely carry vehicles and other materials. The position is practical and active, with daily duties focused on keeping railcars clean, safe, and ready for use. Experience in environments such as construction, landscaping, auto repair, or other labor-intensive work may translate well to this job.
Work location and interview details
The job is based in Greer, South Carolina. Open interviews are held every Tuesday and Thursday at 740 Hendrix Rd., Greer, SC 29651. Tuesday interviews run from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and Thursday interviews run from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. No appointment is required; applicants should ask for Tim when they arrive.
Directions for the interview site
From Highway 101, turn onto Brookshire Road. After about half a mile, take a left onto Hendrix Road. Look for a fenced red brick building with two garage doors on the left side of the road, before the train tracks. Turn left into the gate, park in any open space, enter through the first door, and ask for Tim.
