About the Role
We are seeking a meticulous and analytical QA Analyst to join our fully remote team operating across Australia. This position is ideal for individuals eager to launch a career in Quality Assurance and software testing. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, dependability, and performance of our software applications by conducting comprehensive testing and identifying any potential issues prior to release. You will collaborate closely with development teams, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver superior digital solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct manual testing for web, mobile, and software applications.
- Develop, manage, and update test cases, test plans, and related documentation.
- Identify, document, and track any software defects or inconsistencies found during testing.
- Work with developers to confirm bug fixes and ensure that all issues are resolved effectively.
- Engage in requirement reviews, offering feedback from a quality assurance standpoint.
- Support various testing activities including regression, functional, usability, and performance testing.
- Oversee application quality to ensure it meets all project specifications.
- Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of QA processes and testing methodologies.
- Maintain detailed records of all testing activities and their outcomes.
Requirements
- Must possess Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work authorization for Australia.
- A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a comparable discipline is preferred.
- Demonstrate a keen eye for detail and strong analytical reasoning capabilities.
- Possess a foundational understanding of software development and testing principles.
- While not mandatory, familiarity with bug-tracking and test management software is advantageous.
- Exhibit excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Be capable of working effectively both independently and as part of a team in a remote setting.
- Show strong organizational skills and effective time management abilities.
- Prior internship experience, academic projects, or any prior exposure to software testing is beneficial but not a prerequisite.
