About the Company
Riviera Hardware Holdings Ltd is the biggest group in the Mitre 10 network and is proudly owned and run in New Zealand. Starting with one store in Warkworth in 2009, the business has expanded to include Mitre 10 MEGA Albany, New Lynn, Silverdale, Warkworth, and Mitre 10 Whangaparaoa. The wider group also operates several Columbus Coffee cafés, a distribution centre, and a frame and truss manufacturing plant, creating a complete retail-to-trade supply chain.
The organisation is fast-paced and highly practical, with a strong focus on getting the details right and making a real difference through good execution.
Role Overview
This permanent, full-time, on-site position is based at Mitre 10 MEGA Albany and reports to the Chief Merchandise Officer. The role sits within the central purchasing team and is centred on accurate execution: ensuring stock is ordered correctly, delivered on time, and available for customers when needed.
The environment is high-volume and process-led, so the role suits someone who is precise, well organised, and able to follow tasks through to completion. The impact of the role is direct, supporting stock availability, sales performance, and cost management across the business.
Key Duties
- Use system tools to run automated orders with suppliers.
- Review, approve, and submit customer and replenishment orders.
- Adjust order volumes to improve freight efficiency and lower costs.
- Track zero stock-on-hand situations and update replenishment settings where needed.
- Keep core range records compliant and item information accurate.
- Limit unnecessary purchasing by balancing stock and organising branch transfers.
- Improve sales outcomes by managing seasonal, indent, and surplus stock effectively.
- Work closely with suppliers and internal teams to resolve ordering and stock-related problems quickly.
