Role Overview
This opportunity is for a seasoned Project Director to lead a large data centre construction project in Germany. The position sits with a rapidly expanding international contractor that delivers mission-critical builds across Europe.
The assignment offers end-to-end responsibility for a major, technically demanding project, covering early design coordination through commissioning and final handover. The employer uses an integrated delivery approach across CSA and MEP, giving the Project Director strong influence over sequencing, programme control, and key delivery decisions.
It is suited to a hands-on construction leader who performs well in high-pressure, fast-moving environments and is interested in contributing to the growth of a major international contractor.
Compensation and Package
The salary range for this role is €160,000 to €200,000, along with accommodation, travel allowance, bonus, additional package benefits, and clear career progression. An immediate start is available.
Project Scope
The successful hire will be expected to take ownership of a large-scale data centre project in Germany and act as the main site lead across all critical workstreams, including construction, programme, commercial matters, and client coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the complete delivery of a major data centre construction project in Germany.
- Serve as the principal on-site leader across CSA, MEP, programme, commercial, and client-facing activities.
- Maintain control of programme performance and drive delivery against compressed construction schedules.
- Manage all stages of the build, from early design coordination through procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover.
Candidate Profile
The employer is looking for someone who has successfully delivered a full project lifecycle on a data centre, warehouse, logistics, or comparable large industrial scheme, from pre-construction through commissioning and handover.
Experience as a Project Director or Senior Project Manager on sizeable construction projects is essential, along with the ability to manage complex CSA and MEP packages at the same time.
