Program Manager

Role overview

This is a full-time, on-site Program Manager position based in the Atlanta Metropolitan Area. The role is centered on coordinating several connected projects as one program, with responsibility for keeping delivery aligned to business goals, schedules, and financial targets.

What you will do

You will shape program objectives, build detailed delivery plans, and keep work moving across teams and functions. The position calls for active oversight of risks, interdependencies, and progress so that milestones are met and outcomes stay on track.

You will also lead regular meetings, monitor status through appropriate tracking tools and metrics, prepare updates for stakeholders, and look for opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and quality. In addition, you will help support organizational change, uphold internal standards, and encourage effective collaboration between project teams and business partners.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate has practical experience in both program and project management, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk control. You should be comfortable managing stakeholders, setting expectations, and communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Hands-on experience with program and project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, Asana, or similar platforms is important, along with the ability to work with dashboards, metrics, and reports. Strong analytical thinking, issue resolution skills, and the ability to manage dependencies and improve processes are also expected.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are needed for presentations, documentation, and status reporting. The role also requires the ability to lead cross-functional groups, run meetings, and coordinate work in a fast-moving environment. A bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related subject is preferred, and an advanced degree or certifications such as PMP, PgMP, Agile, or SAFe would be an advantage. Experience handling complex programs in a corporate or enterprise environment, along with familiarity with change management, is beneficial.
