About Peec AI
Peec AI is a Berlin startup at Series A stage that creates analytics and intelligence software for SEO and growth teams. As search changes quickly and AI reshapes how people find information, businesses need better visibility into where they show up, how well they are performing, and what new growth paths they can pursue. The product is built to help teams monitor visibility, understand results, and discover opportunities to expand organic reach in a more complex search environment.
About the Role
This position sits closely with the Founding Designer and works hand in hand with product and engineering. The role comes with significant ownership and is not a handoff-driven design function. You will speak with users, develop the design system, make independent decisions on product features, and help lift the overall design quality of the company.
What You’ll Do
- Take ownership of the design system and continue developing it.
- Run user interviews and keep a strong, ongoing understanding of customer needs.
- Evaluate product features and flows independently, using the judgment expected from someone who understands startup trade-offs.
- Partner very closely with engineers from early ideas through to shipped work.
- Spot and improve areas where the product experience feels unclear, awkward, or unnecessarily complicated.
- Help raise the quality standard for the whole team and positively influence the people around you.
What We’re Looking For
- Prior experience in a seed-stage startup is required, with comfort building core processes without a ready-made playbook.
- A problem-led mindset that starts from user and business needs rather than visual appeal alone.
- Strong attention to craft, especially in micro-interactions, motion, and transitions.
- An AI-native workflow, with active experimentation and use of AI in design processes.
- Solid business judgment and curiosity about the rationale behind product decisions.
