About the internship
Swift Robotics Private Limited is seeking a creative and driven Industrial Design intern to help define the look, feel, and user experience of a new consumer device. You will work closely with the engineering team to turn early concepts into practical products, ensuring the design balances visual appeal with hardware constraints. This is an entry-level opportunity for a recent graduate who is excited to learn fast, refine ideas quickly, and contribute to the journey from digital concepts to physical prototypes.
What you will do
- Take part in ideation sessions and develop multiple design directions through sketches, digital visuals, and mood boards.
- Build 3D surfaces and solid models that communicate design intent, and prepare polished renderings for review.
- Create quick, low-fidelity physical models using foam, 3D printing, or basic workshop tools to assess ergonomics, scale, and overall form.
- Collaborate with software and hardware engineers to understand component placement such as PCBs, actuators, and sensors, then incorporate them into unified enclosures.
- Support the exploration of user interaction, comfort, and how the product will fit naturally into a home or office setting.
