Job Purpose
The dietitian in this role is responsible for evaluating patients’ nutritional needs, creating and carrying out individualized nutrition care plans, and educating patients as needed. The position also requires consistent coordination with medical, nursing, and departmental leaders to support appropriate nutritional treatment.
Key Responsibilities
- Review a patient’s nutritional condition, including therapeutic diets, enteral nutrition, parenteral nutrition, and overall clinical status.
- Create a nutrition plan of care tailored to each patient’s identified needs, incorporating input from the patient and family when appropriate.
- Re-evaluate patients at least every two weeks and whenever their condition calls for it.
- Keep clear and effective communication going with medical staff, nursing teams, and department management regarding patient nutrition care.
