About the role
Jacobs is looking for a Principal BIM Information Manager to help drive digital and information management across complex transportation projects. In this position, you will influence best practices in BIM and information management, support stronger project outcomes through sound governance and reliable data, and help teams collaborate effectively from concept through delivery and handover.
You will also contribute to mentoring and developing colleagues within the wider team, while playing an important part in improving the consistency, assurance, and overall value of project information.
What you will do
As a member of the Transportation Information Management Team, you will oversee BIM and information management delivery across several projects. Your remit will cover the People, Process, Solutions, and Procurement areas to support efficient digital delivery and ongoing improvement.
You will be responsible for managing project information activities, including setting up, governing, and assuring the Common Data Environment (CDE) and the related procedures. You will check the accuracy and completeness of the Project Information Model, uphold strong information governance, and ensure BIM standards and established best practice are followed throughout the project lifecycle.
In partnership with the project delivery team, you will work closely with clients, designers, contractors, and suppliers to help them achieve their project objectives through effective information management.
This opportunity offers exposure to high-profile transport work across the UK, Ireland, and internationally, with scope to support the continued evolution of digital delivery in the sector. The role may be based from any of the listed UK hubs or from the Dublin or Cork offices.
Requirements
- Hands-on BIM or information management experience on transportation or infrastructure projects
- Working knowledge of the UK BIM Framework and the BS EN ISO 19650 series
- Experience handling Project Information Models and Common Data Environments
- Ability to create and apply Information Management Protocols and Execution Plans
- Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary project delivery teams
