Role overview
This position focuses on delivering commercial pest management services to business clients. The technician inspects properties, identifies the source and type of infestation, applies suitable treatment methods, and helps prevent pests from returning. The role also includes client communication and strict adherence to safety and regulatory standards.

Key duties
Commercial Pest Control Technicians handle a mix of inspection, treatment, customer service, and vehicle-based field work. They work directly at client sites and are expected to maintain service quality, safety, and professionalism throughout each visit.
Working conditions and physical demands
- Frequent work in confined or hard-to-reach areas such as basements, attics, crawl spaces, narrow aisles, and similar spaces.
- Exposure to animals, insects, termites, mechanical parts, vehicles, electricity, heights, scaffolding, fumes, dust, and chemicals, with training provided for safe handling.
- Indoor and outdoor work in local weather conditions, using company-provided weather gear when needed.
- Regular physical movement, including sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and moving up and down stairs, ladders, ramps, scaffolding, and poles.
- Use of personal protective equipment, including an OSHA-compliant respirator.
Requirements
- Must be clean-shaven for safety reasons so respirators can seal properly.
- High school diploma or GED, or a comparable mix of education, experience, and training.
- Valid driver’s license issued by the state of residence.
- Availability to work Monday through Friday, with Saturdays as needed.
- Strong reading, writing, and verbal communication skills for both internal and external interactions.
- Basic math ability, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to follow label instructions for product mixing.
- Licenses or certifications required by federal, state, or local rules, with coverage provided by the employer where applicable.
- Prior customer-facing experience is preferred.
