Role Summary

This is a solo HR generalist position with broad ownership across the people function. You will handle everything from payroll and benefits to performance reviews, recruiting coordination, onboarding, office logistics, and employee experience. The role is highly hands-on, varies from day to day, and gives you the chance to build processes from the ground up.

Location and Employment Details

This is a full-time position based in Bellevue, WA, with a hybrid schedule of 3 days per week in the office. The role reports to the Chief Revenue Officer.

Compensation

The base salary is $80,000 to $85,000 per year, and the position is eligible for bonus compensation. Equity is also offered.

People Operations and HR Ownership

  • Serve as the main contact for the company’s PEO partner, Justworks, and handle HR administration, compliance matters, and employee records.
  • Run payroll accurately and on schedule, including contractor payments and reimbursements.
  • Set up and manage DocuSign processes for offer letters, agreements, and other employee documents.
  • Work with the CRO on the yearly compensation review process, including market benchmarking, pay modeling, and communication to managers.
  • Lead semi-annual performance review cycles from planning through completion, including templates, timelines, manager enablement, and calibration support.
  • Oversee US benefits administration, including open enrollment and responses to employee benefits questions.
  • Coordinate monthly commission payouts with Sales and Finance to ensure the numbers are correct.
  • Act as the first internal contact for immigration-related questions and work with external counsel when needed.
  • Order swag and contribute ideas that help strengthen team culture and performance.
  • Keep employee files and folders organized and up to date.

Recruiting and Onboarding

  • Partner with a recruiting consultant on full-cycle hiring across teams, including job descriptions, candidate sourcing, pipeline management, interview scheduling, and offer closure.
  • Maintain an organized ATS and keep hiring managers informed on candidate progress.
  • Own the onboarding experience from day one, including system access, paperwork, orientation, first-week setup, Gmail setup, and internal communication tools.
  • Work with managers to create personalized welcome messages and help each new hire get off to a strong start.

Office Operations and Logistics

  • Run daily office operations for the Bellevue office, including snacks, supplies, vendors, facilities support, and hardware coordination.
  • Arrange team travel such as flights and hotels, and negotiate hotel rates and preferred vendor terms to stay budget-aware.
  • Process reimbursements quickly and accurately.
  • Send birthday gifts to new employees and creators.

Culture and Employee Experience

  • Plan and execute team events, offsites, and celebrations that employees genuinely enjoy.
  • Bring creative ideas to improve the workplace experience and carry them through to completion.
  • Be a dependable support person for employees at every level and help shape culture through everyday interactions.

Qualifications

  • 3 to 6 years of experience in HR generalist roles, preferably in a startup or fast-growing company.
  • Experience working with a PEO platform; exposure to Justworks is a strong advantage.
  • Working knowledge of US employment law, benefits administration, and payroll basics.
  • Experience coordinating visa or sponsorship questions with immigration counsel.
  • Excellent organization skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to earn trust and communicate well at all levels.
  • A high-ownership mindset and willingness to handle both strategic and practical tasks.
  • Resourceful problem-solving ability and comfort working without a complete playbook.
