Role Overview

The Patient Access Specialist helps patients begin Specialty Infusion Services by managing referrals, intake paperwork, and communication across internal and external teams. The position plays a key role in making sure patients move smoothly into care while maintaining a consistent and high-quality experience for referral partners and patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with patients, referral sources, sales, pharmacy, and nursing teams to manage discharge planning and arrange nursing and delivery services.
  • Prepare, share, and collect all documents needed for new referrals.
  • Support collection of patient upfront payments and guide patients toward payment options, including financial assistance when appropriate.
  • Help maintain clean claims by following up on missing paperwork and assisting with denial management tasks.
  • Provide support to the supervisor and manager on special projects and additional assignments as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or an equivalent credential is required.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience are required.
  • Ability to handle multiple referrals and priorities at the same time.
