- Create and follow through on parts orders, including delivery tracking and coordination.
- Assign work orders to safety inspection technicians according to urgency and technician availability.
- Plan technician schedules and balance workloads to improve shop output.
- Watch repair progress and identify possible bottlenecks before they affect completion times.
- Confirm that the right parts are on hand and matched to the correct job before work begins.
- Maintain accurate parts records and handle warranty returns when relevant.
- Arrange sublet repair work with approved outside vendors.
- Keep the Used Car and Service leadership teams updated with clear, timely communication.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal applicant is an experienced automotive professional who is comfortable in a fast-paced environment. Backgrounds in dealership parts, service, shop control, service advising, or estimating are all relevant.
Strong organization, the ability to manage several jobs at once, clear communication, vendor negotiation skills, and a proactive mindset are important for success in this role. Familiarity with dealership management systems such as Reynolds & Reynolds, CDK, PBS, or Dealertrack would be helpful, though it is not mandatory.
Eligibility
Applicants must be legally permitted to work in Canada.
What We Offer
The role comes with compensation of $52,000 to $68,000 per year, depending on experience, plus a performance bonus linked to shop productivity and cycle time.
Additional benefits include extended health and dental coverage, group life insurance, employee pricing on new and used vehicles, paid vacation, paid training and professional development, stable permanent full-time employment, and a modern workplace with a professional team environment.
Why Join Us
Employees are part of a team that communicates well, values ideas, and recognizes the impact of efficient work. There is room to grow within the dealership and across the broader Heighton Auto Group.
