Role Overview

The Metropole Hotel Cork is looking for a part-time Food & Beverage Assistant to support the bar and restaurant team at the MacCurtain Street property in Cork. This is a guest-facing position suited to someone who enjoys working closely with visitors, thrives in a busy atmosphere, and contributes positively within a close-knit team.

Key Duties

  • Arrive on time and in the correct uniform for each shift.
  • Keep the working area and still room orderly and clean.
  • Lay tables according to the required setup.
  • Help manage linen stock levels.
  • Prepare mise-en-place for the next shift.
  • Make sure service stations are ready, cleaned, and fully stocked.
  • Prepare the work area for the following shift.
  • Take orders, process bills, and complete end-of-shift cashing up.
  • Work across the restaurant, bar, meeting rooms, or banqueting areas as needed.
  • Serve food and beverages during functions in line with group standards.
  • Keep the restaurant, bar, meeting rooms, and banqueting spaces clean at all times.
