Role overview
Circet Ireland & UK is looking for an experienced Overhead Line Worker to support its Power division in County Mayo, Ireland. The position focuses on maintaining, repairing, renewing, and installing overhead line equipment and related power supply systems. You will be part of a fast-paced team that prioritises safe working practices, quality output, and compliance with industry requirements.

Key responsibilities
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance, repairs, refurbishment, and installation work on overhead lines as instructed.
- Work safely at height on poles and towers, including the use of MEWPs where needed.
- Make sure all activities follow applicable health and safety laws, technical standards, and company processes.
- Liaise with chargehands, site supervisors, and client contacts to keep work progressing smoothly.
- Prepare and return work pack paperwork accurately and within the required deadlines.
- Promptly raise near misses and good catches.
- Use the equipment and tools required for overhead line tasks in line with the OHL manual.
- Maintain a professional approach when working on customer premises and treat property with care.
- Support other duties as assigned by management.
Skills and experience
- Hands-on experience in the construction and maintenance of overhead lines up to 132kV.
- Valid full driving licence.
- NPG authorisation is an advantage, though not mandatory.
- Pole Top Rescue certificate.
- Manual Handling certificate.
- Good understanding of project health and safety requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow technical instructions accurately.
- Basic customer service capability and professional behaviour.
- Clear communication and strong interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively in a changing environment.
