Role overview

An opportunity has opened up because of an internal promotion for an energetic, customer-first Outbound Territory Manager to join the Auckland outbound sales team. The role is focused on expanding the customer base, increasing sales, and providing strong service through proactive outbound calling.

You will represent Goodman Fielder to Route Food Service customers across New Zealand, helping cafés, bakeries, dairies, and other small food businesses get the products they want. The position gives you ownership of your territory and the chance to build real relationships over the phone.

Key duties

  • Develop long-term customer relationships by phone and recommend solutions that support their growth.
  • Spot new sales opportunities early and convert them into new business within your territory.
  • Work closely with Field Sales, Channel Managers, and Distributors so promotions and account support stay aligned.
  • Keep call cycles organised and use CRM software, including Salesforce, to monitor activity and sales pipeline.

What you will bring

  • Solid experience in telesales, preferably gained in FMCG or food-related sectors.
  • Strong enthusiasm for food and for the small business operators and food service professionals who use it.
  • Excellent skills in communication, negotiation, and building customer relationships.
