About the Role
We are seeking a driven and upbeat Outbound Sales Development Representative to strengthen the sales team. The core focus of this position is to create new business opportunities by connecting with potential customers, assessing lead quality, and arranging meetings for the sales team. This opportunity suits someone who enjoys persuasive conversations, works toward targets, and is excited by sales growth.
Responsibilities
- Reach out to prospects through phone calls, email, LinkedIn, and similar outreach channels.
- Find, screen, and develop leads to support a healthy sales pipeline.
- Study target accounts and tailor outreach based on the account’s needs.
- Secure qualified meetings and product demos for the sales team.
- Work closely with Account Executives and Sales Managers to hand off leads smoothly.
- Maintain accurate records of activities, prospects, and interactions in the CRM.
- Meet weekly and monthly performance targets for calls made, meetings scheduled, and opportunities generated.
- Share insights on market movements and customer needs with the sales and marketing teams.
Requirements
- A college degree is not mandatory; applicants may be graduates or self-educated.
- Excellent reading, writing, and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Strong persistence, resilience, and a healthy response to rejection are important.
- Ability to understand products or services quickly and communicate their value clearly.
- Comfort in a fast-moving, target-oriented work environment.
- Working knowledge of CRM tools, email outreach platforms, and MS Office.
Experience
- 1 to 3 years of experience in sales development, cold calling, or lead generation.
- Background in SaaS, IT solutions, or other B2B services is an advantage.
- Demonstrated success in meeting or surpassing sales activity goals.
Additional Information
This is a full-time corporate role based in Pune. Compensation is offered as per industry standards. The position has 4 openings.
