About the role
NielsenIQ is looking for an Order Management Specialist to help sales teams work more efficiently and create a smooth customer experience after contracts are signed. In this role, you will partner with Sales, Finance, and Customer Success to speed up the path from opportunity to recognized revenue. The position calls for someone who is proactive, detail-focused, comfortable with deadlines, and motivated to improve processes. You should enjoy solving problems, finding bottlenecks through data, and turning ideas into practical improvements that make the order cycle faster and more accurate.
What you'll do
- Handle daily order-management work so opportunities move toward revenue as quickly as possible, including supporting order processing in the CRM, guiding sellers on the gatekeeper checklist, sharing best practices, and leading PO management and tracking.
- Review gatekeeper queue entries for accuracy and completeness, ensure a smooth transfer to finance partners, coordinate client creation or updates, manage block/unblock status changes, and process new material code requests.
- Identify weak points in the quote-to-invoice flow, including CRM and finance system integration issues, and support training so sales teams improve their first-time-right performance.
- Work with Finance and Sales across the quote-to-cash cycle to answer order-related questions and process orders within service-level expectations and without errors.
- Support compliance with company policies, business rules, and revenue recognition principles.
- Manage multiple requests at the same time, stay on top of deadlines, and escalate delays to the team lead when needed.
- Create and use deal-tracking and status reports to find bottlenecks in the quote-to-invoice process and flag stale opportunities to help protect revenue.
- Look for ways to improve the order process, fix inconsistencies, and share useful feedback with cross-functional teams to increase efficiency.
- Assist internal finance teams during audits such as CAS and statutory audits, following the defined operating model and Global/Regional COE standards.
What we're looking for
You should bring 1 to 2 years of experience in Quote to Cash, Order Management, Sales Operations, or Deal Desk. A bachelor’s degree is preferred. Experience with SAP/ERP and MSD is an added advantage, and strong MS Office skills are expected. The role suits someone who can think strategically, identify issues quickly, and apply practical solutions. You’ll need strong attention to detail, the ability to prioritize well, and confidence working with people across departments and management levels. The job also requires handling several projects at once, meeting deadlines, understanding the quote-to-invoice cycle, and knowing where sellers commonly face friction. Experience with sales reporting in a CRM, Power BI, or similar tools is useful, along with excellent written and spoken English. Prior exposure to SaaS technology and the ability to stay productive in a remote, fast-moving environment are important.
