Role Summary

The Operations Specialist will be responsible for keeping inventory records accurate and well controlled for Arthrex Atlanta. The role focuses on maintaining optimal stock levels, supporting day-to-day operations, and ensuring adherence to relevant regulatory standards. This position suits someone with strong attention to detail, solid organizational ability, and prior inventory management experience in a medical device or healthcare setting.

Work Location and Reporting

This is an on-site role based at Arthrex Atlanta. The position reports to the Operations Manager and has no direct reports.

Schedule

Full-time, exempt role with a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:30am to 5:00pm.

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation starts at $60,000 per year, with annual increases based on experience. The role also includes a full benefits package and a work environment focused on continuous growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Keep inventory records precise for orthopedic medical devices, implants, and surgical instruments.
• Track stock movement and perform regular cycle counts and inventory reconciliations.
• Make sure inventory is stored, handled, and documented correctly.
• Receive shipments, confirm all items against records, and update the inventory system.
• Work with sales representatives, hospitals, and surgical centers to manage timely delivery and return of loaner kits and consignment stock.
• Oversee expired and obsolete stock in line with company disposal procedures.
• Help forecast demand and restock as needed to avoid shortages or excess inventory.
• Partner with supply chain, operations, and sales teams to improve inventory movement.
• Assist with audits and regulatory reviews by maintaining accurate documentation and compliance.
• Investigate inventory mismatches and apply corrective steps to strengthen accuracy.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related area is preferred.
• At least 2 years of inventory management experience, ideally in medical devices, healthcare, or pharmaceuticals.
• Understanding of inventory control methods, supply chain processes, and regulatory compliance.
• Comfort using inventory systems such as RedSpot and SalesForce.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and organizational discipline.
• Good written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to collaborate effectively.

Physical and Other Requirements

• Must be able to pass an MVR check and have dependable transportation.
• Must be able to lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Requires the ability to stand, walk, and repeat physical tasks for extended periods.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, and reach overhead to access storage areas.
• Should be able to operate material-handling equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
