Role overview

In this Operations Specialist role, you will help manage the movement of large volumes of material across different markets. The position sits at the center of several teams and requires regular coordination with sales, product, engineering, logistics partners, and customers to create a smooth and reliable fulfillment process.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate order fulfillment so material moves correctly for both sales and purchase orders, with pickups and deliveries happening on time.
• Arrange transportation resources such as trucks, containers, and freight for domestic and international shipments.
• Prepare, review, and organize shipping documents with a high level of accuracy.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers and other service providers to support dependable operations.
• Monitor operational performance indicators, including pickup delays, and identify areas where processes can improve.
• Identify shipment risks early and partner with the operations team to resolve issues before they escalate.
• Contribute ideas that lower costs, improve speed, and increase efficiency as you gain deeper knowledge of the business.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of experience in startups, logistics, and/or operations.
• Basic familiarity with shipping paperwork and carrier coordination, or a willingness to learn these areas.
• Strong written and verbal communication along with solid organizational ability.
• Ability to learn new systems and tools quickly.
• Bonus consideration for candidates familiar with scrap metal or recyclables logistics.
