Role Overview

This is a full-time, on-site Operations Lead position in Doha, Qatar. The role is responsible for managing daily logistics activities, ensuring smooth intra-city delivery execution, meeting service-level commitments, and driving ongoing process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

The Operations Lead will oversee hubs and fleet operations, track performance indicators such as on-time delivery and cost efficiency, and work closely with teams across technology, client success, and finance. The role also involves guiding on-ground teams, planning shifts, allocating resources, handling escalations, enforcing standard operating procedures, supporting the rollout of Oorjaa’s technology products, analyzing operational data, and preparing reports and insights for leadership.

Qualifications

Candidates should bring strong operations management expertise, including process improvement, resource planning, and performance monitoring. Experience in logistics, supply chain, last-mile delivery, or transportation operations is preferred, especially in a fast-growing or technology-driven setting. The role also calls for a data-oriented approach with comfort using spreadsheets, dashboards, and reporting tools to review metrics and make decisions. Leadership experience in supervising teams, managing shifts, training staff, and coaching performance is important, along with strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Since the role is on-site and fast-paced, the person should be able to prioritize multiple tasks and react quickly to operational issues. A bachelor’s degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred, and certifications are an added advantage. Familiarity with logistics platforms and a working understanding of routing, tracking, and delivery systems will be helpful. Experience in the Middle East or a similar market is a plus.
