Job purpose
This role is responsible for overseeing ADNOC Aviation activities at ADIA, covering depot, hydrant, and into-plane operations. The objective is to ensure that fuel is received, stored, and supplied to aircraft safely, efficiently, and in line with company and industry requirements.
Key accountabilities
- Coordinate with the Aviation Maintenance team on preventive maintenance, repairs, modifications, and the serviceability of all operational equipment.
- Plan manpower effectively, prepare duty rosters and annual leave schedules, and keep fuelling activities running without interruption, especially during peak demand and scheduled exercise periods.
- Support team engagement by addressing morale, training needs, and other workforce concerns proactively.
- Make sure health, safety, and environment rules are followed at all times, and that every incident or accident is reported, investigated, and acted upon to avoid recurrence.
- Maintain the site risk register, complete task risk assessments for all site activities, and implement the required controls and actions.
- Ensure full compliance with airport regulations, company procedures, and aviation industry standards.
- Carry out task assessments and quarterly inspections to support safe, smooth site operations and apply corrective measures wherever needed.
- Track recommendations from inspections, audits, and customer feedback to ensure closure within the required deadlines.
- Conduct monthly safety meetings and toolbox talks with site personnel.
- Verify that static and mobile equipment is regularly inspected for quality control and day-to-day readiness according to ADNOC Distribution and aviation standards.
- Maintain batch control and product traceability for all fuel receipts and deliveries.
- Report quality-related incidents promptly, investigate them thoroughly, and complete corrective actions.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers, airport authorities, and other stakeholders.
- Collect feedback regularly and act on it appropriately.
- Resolve complaints, incidents, and other concerns raised by airport stakeholders, including authorities, customers, and ground handling agencies.
- Work with airport security to arrange security passes for ADNOC employees, visitors, and contractors.
- Ensure all product receipt, storage, and release activities are completed in line with aviation operations standards.
- Maintain sufficient Jet A-1 stock levels based on operational needs and share daily and weekly fuel demand updates with the operations department manager.
- Update stock records every day, review product gains and losses, and take steps to prevent unusual variances.
- Supervise fuelling and defuelling of aircraft so the work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with ADNOC Distribution policies and aviation standards.
- Prepare and revise procedures and work instructions to match aviation operations standards and ADNOC Distribution requirements, and ensure they are applied on site.
- Make sure all sales information is entered into the system accurately and on time.
- Confirm that adequate resources are available to meet daily operational requirements.
Qualifications, experience, knowledge and skills
- A diploma in Marketing, Engineering, Business Management, or an equivalent discipline is required.
- At least 6 years of relevant experience is needed, including a minimum of 4 years in roles with growing managerial responsibility.
