Nursery Practitioner Level 3

Role summary

Busy Bees Nurseries is looking for a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join its Andover setting. In this role, you will help support children’s intellectual, social, and emotional growth while contributing to a high-quality early years environment.

About the nursery

The Andover Picket Twenty nursery is rated Good by Ofsted and provides care for up to 72 children across four bright rooms. It supports children from 3 months to 5 years old, offering a setting that works for babies through to school-ready children. The nursery is based in a new housing development in Picket Twenty, Andover, with strong local links and visits from community services such as the fire department and police. It is easy to reach via the A303 and A34, is close to Pilgrims Cross Primary School, and includes free staff parking.

Key duties

• Set up a secure and engaging learning space by preparing resources and organising the room to support children’s development.
• Plan and run activities that support physical, emotional, intellectual, and social progress in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
• Act as a key person for assigned children, taking responsibility for their development, care, and strong communication with families.

What we are looking for

• A Level 3 qualification, or higher, in Early Years Education.
• Practical experience working with children under five.
• A real interest in early childhood education and child development.
• Strong communication skills.
• Good organisational ability.
• The ability to use knowledge of child development to plan and deliver suitable activities.
