Night Porter

Role overview

Radisson Blu Hotel Athlone is seeking a dependable part-time Night Porter to support overnight operations at its County Westmeath property. This position is focused on guest safety, smooth service delivery, and maintaining a welcoming environment during evening and night hours.

Key duties

• Carry out regular checks around the property and keep an eye on security systems to help protect guests and hotel premises.
• Respond to guest questions, concerns, and requests in a polite, professional, and timely manner.
• Keep the lobby, public spaces, and required back-of-house areas clean and orderly.
• Assist guests with luggage at both arrival and departure.
• Handle switchboard calls and direct guest enquiries courteously.
• Prepare function rooms for breakfast service or other scheduled events.
• Escalate maintenance or security concerns to the relevant team members without delay.
• Record paperwork and logs accurately and efficiently.

Candidate profile

• At least 1 year of experience in customer service or hospitality is required.
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• You should be highly organised, detail-focused, and able to prioritise tasks effectively.
• The ability to work on your own initiative as well as within a team is important.
• Availability for evenings, weekends, and public holidays is needed.
