Role overview
Marriott International is hiring a Night Auditor for its Charlottetown property in Prince Edward Island, Canada. This is a full-time, non-management position within the Finance & Accounting function. The role is centered on maintaining accurate financial records overnight, safeguarding cash, reconciling revenue, and supporting smooth front desk operations with a professional guest-service approach.
Key duties
- Review figures, entries, and supporting documents to confirm they are correct.
- Capture, organize, retrieve, and evaluate computerized financial data.
- Handle cash and cash equivalents securely in line with property cash-control procedures.
- Maintain files and records according to retention rules and confidentiality standards.
- Prepare, update, and circulate reports and tables related to statistics, finance, accounting, auditing, and payroll.
- Audit statistical, financial, accounting, auditing, or payroll reports and tables.
- Reconcile all revenue postings and investigate discrepancies as needed.
- Follow all safety and security requirements, including reporting incidents, injuries, unsafe conditions, and suspicious persons.
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance and protect company assets, proprietary information, and the privacy of guests and coworkers.
- Greet guests in line with brand standards, respond to service needs, assist guests with disabilities, and express appreciation professionally.
- Communicate clearly in both spoken and written form, answer phones with proper etiquette, and prepare accurate documents.
- Build cooperative working relationships, support team goals, and respond constructively to coworker concerns.
- Meet quality standards and perform other reasonable duties assigned by supervisors.
Requirements
- Front desk experience is preferred.
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- No prior related work experience is required.
- No supervisory experience is required.
- No license or certification is needed.
- Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow company procedures consistently.
Work details
The role is scheduled as full-time and is based on-site in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. Pay is listed at $19.44 to $19.94 per hour.
