Role Overview
STRICTmobile is looking for an experienced mobile web developer who enjoys working in a startup-style environment, values collaboration, and is excited by the challenge of building mobile commerce products. The company focuses entirely on mobile commerce and develops solutions used by well-known brands. The role is based in Frankfurt am Main and is intended to strengthen the existing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan the technical approach and build new features, while also improving and maintaining existing functionality in the mobile commerce web application.
- Customize the web application to meet specific customer needs.
- Connect the web application with e-commerce platforms through web service APIs.
- Contribute fresh ideas and explore new approaches to help further grow the product’s market position.
- Take responsibility for guiding and leading a team of motivated developers.
- Help improve the team’s working methods and the overall development process on an ongoing basis.
Candidate Profile
- You should have a strong interest in mobile technologies.
- A degree in computer science, a related field, or an equivalent qualification is expected.
- You need solid foundational knowledge of web development, including JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, AJAX, and JSON.
- Extensive hands-on experience with JavaScript and frameworks such as jQuery is required.
- Server-side development knowledge is beneficial, especially with Demandware or Intershop.
- Experience working with web services is needed.
- Comfortable use of development tools such as Subversion and JIRA is expected.
- Experience with agile development methods is important.
- You should be highly motivated, able to work independently, and a strong team player.
- Previous experience in e-commerce is required.
