Role overview
This contract opportunity is for a Mechanical Engineer who will support the design and improvement of mechanical systems for a client project. The work is fully remote and can be done from anywhere. The focus is on producing reliable engineering solutions that meet quality expectations and relevant industry standards, while coordinating with other functions involved in delivery.
What you will do
- Create, review, and refine mechanical components and systems to match project requirements.
- Prepare engineering drawings, schematics, and supporting documentation with CAD software.
- Run structural, thermal, and fluid-flow simulations to confirm design performance.
- Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to balance cost efficiency with product quality.
- Investigate failures, analyze test outcomes, and suggest practical design enhancements.
Required qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline is needed.
- Hands-on experience with CAD platforms such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or comparable tools.
- Working knowledge of finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD).
- Understanding of manufacturing methods, materials science, and applicable industry standards.
- Ability to read technical specifications and follow regulatory or compliance requirements.
