Role overview
ALTEN Germany is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support execution projects in the power sector. The position focuses on mechanical packages for power plants, including decarbonized and hybrid concepts, and involves close coordination with multiple engineering disciplines and external partners.
What you will do
- Contribute to the delivery of power plant execution projects, with exposure to decarbonized and hybrid solutions.
- Own mechanical sub-systems and components such as cranes, lifting systems, and elevators.
- Develop technical specifications and align interfaces with steel, layout, and electrical teams.
- Assess customer requirements and evaluate contractor documents along with engineering deliverables.
- Track supplier performance against schedules, cost targets, and quality standards, including claim handling.
- Work with stakeholders, assist in design reviews, and help prepare customer-facing documentation.

Working conditions
This is a full-time onsite role based in Erlangen, Bavaria, Germany. The position is planned for 35 hours per week. The stated salary range is €65,000 to €75,000 per year.
